Working with Kat has been amazing. As a first time homebuyer, I did not know what to expect from the home buying process or from an agent. Kat was our guide and advocate through the processes of searching, negotiating, processing paperwork, small renovations, and getting to know the neighborhood. Financially, some agents might persuade their clients into pricier houses to earn a better commission, but Kat did the opposite. She helped us find a small place in a nice neighborhood for a much lower price than our loan limit. We started looking for a house in early summer of 2019 and reached out to Kat Gaskins based on references provided by a couple of our friends who had found their dream homes through Kat.To begin with, we bombarded Kat with our questions and wishlist and all sorts of search criteria. Kat patiently listened to all our needs and wishlist and then helped us write down and prioritize our search criteria based on certain key factors like budget, school district, floor plan, neighborhood, age of the property and schools. We started by listing those in our order of preference and a good school district was definitely top of our list. This helped us narrow down our search and use our time more efficiently.
